Here
is a cabochon of rare Marra Mamba tigereye, from
Australia. This amazing material is, in my
opinion, the most awesome tigereye in the world,
and this little gem's a splendid example. It
features a nice patch of pale blue chatoyance,
some of which is blended into ochre and orange
jasper, along with bold ribbons of dark silvery
metallic hematite. Some of the velvety orange
stripes look chatoyant too, adding up to a
colorfully festive stone. The cab has a high
rounded dome of just under 7mm, a crisply bold
designer shape, and a glassy polish both front and
back.
