WEB HOSTING POLICIES AND DISCLAIMER

-POLICIES-

Silverhawk's webhosting and Network Services provides global web hosting to many clients, and we have a responsibility to provide each and every client with the best possible service. The following guidelines have been established to insure this intent is met.

Content:
All services provided by Silverhawk's Webhosting and Networking Services may be used for lawful purposes only. Transmission, storage, or presentation of any information, data or material in violation of any United States Federal, State or City law is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: copyrighted material, material we judge to be threatening or obscene, or material protected by trade secrets and other statutes.Silverhawk's Webhosting and Networking Services is not responsible for any claims resulting from the use of our service.

Note: Pornography and sex-related merchandising are prohibited on any Silverhawk's Webhosting and Networking Services server. This includes sites that may infer sexual content, or link to adult content elsewhere. This is also true for sites that promote any illegal activity or content that may be damaging to Silverhawk's Webhosting and Networking Services servers or any other server on the internet. Links to such materials are prohibited. This also includes, but not limited to pirated software, hacker programs/archives, and Warez sites. Silverhawk's Webhosting and Networking Services will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of these provisions.

Unlimited Web Site Traffic Program:
We are pleased to offer our selected commercial hosting clients with unlimited web site traffic! To maintain the integrity of our system the following limitations apply. The following sites do not qualify for our unlimited traffic policy:

  • Sites with more than one main page.
  • Sites housing multiple directories with unrelated information.
  • Multiple hosts residing at an IP address or domain name we provide.
  • Sites with banners, graphics, or cgi's running from their domain being used on other domains.
  • Sites offering download archives such as .zip, .tar, .ra and .gz
  • Sites using more than 20% of system resources.

If you DO NOT qualify for unlimited traffic, your site will go unmonitored until you reach 8000MB (8gigs) per month, then normal data transfer costs of only $25.00 per 1000MB will apply. The Silverhawk Network will notify the user ahead of time before any extra charges are applied.

Chat Rooms and IRC:
We do not allow our clients to install their own chat rooms. This tends to hinder system resources and is not offered as an account option. We do provide a choice of Java chatrooms for a small extra charge that will more than fill your needs and run without degrading the performance of the system for others. Furthermore, we currently DO NOT allow IRC or IRC bots to be operated on our servers.

Background running programs:
Silverhawk's Webhosting and Networking Services does NOT allow programs to run continually in the background.

Commercial Advertising - Email:
Spamming, the sending of unsolicited email or posts, from ANY server is STRICTLY prohibited. Silverhawk's Webhosting and Networking Services will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this provision.

Server abuse:
Any attempts to undermine or cause harm to any Silverhawk's Webhosting and Networking Services server or customer of Silverhawk's Webhosting and Networking Services is strictly prohibited.

Silverhawk's Webhosting and Networking Services cannot be held liable for system downtime, crashes, or data loss. We cannot be held liable for any predicted estimate of profits in which a client would have gained if their site was functioning. Certain services provided by Silverhawk's Webhosting and Networking Services are resold. Thus, certain equipment, routing, software, and programming used by Silverhawks Creations and Networking Services are not directly owned or written by Silverhawk's Webhosting and Networking Services. Moreover, Silverhawk's Webhosting and Networking Services holds no responsibility for the use of our clients' accounts. If any terms or conditions are failed to be followed, the account in question will be automatically deactivated. We reserve the right to remove any account without advanced notice for any reason Silverhawk's Webhosting and Networking Services sees fit.
