~THE KEY TO HAPPINESS~
- What a surprise to stand and watch the horizon,
- eager to see the first rays of light.
- to be filled with awe in its beauty,
- and to be blessed to see such a sight.
- Funny, I saw the same thing yesterday,
- only I hid my eyes because it was way too bright.
- Yesterday the world was too heavy
- and on my shoulders it found its place.
- How strange to start a new week
- with a smile on my face
- To see people as they really are
- and work at my own pace.
- Just yesterday I quenched the fire of dreams,
- long before they had the chance to fail.
- Today I find the possibilities,
- and know I have the world by the tail.
- How nice to see the bad turn to good
- and feel the echos of pain pale.
- The only thing thats changed is
- how I choose to see.
- Trouble still comes, tragedy still falls
- But I won't let it consume me.
- I learn lessons and count blessings,
- and find the good in what is destined to be.

To My dear friend T.B. Murray,
I hope you will be able to see the rainbows that flourish in even the darkest storms. If you ever close your eyes to them again, I will be there to show you where they are. I wish you many years of happiness, love and success.
