Marra Mamba tigereye cab ~
Offered here is a premium cabochon of rare Marra Mamba tigereye, from Australia. This startling material is, in my opinion, the most awesome tigereye in the world, and this little gem's a splendid example of the finest quality. It features amazingly colorful pearly chatoyance in blended hues of blue, coral, orange, and green, nearly a rainbow, that rolls and flashes through the stone. Streaks of red, too, and detailed areas of shiny metallic hematite. Oriented a certain way, the stone seems oddly scenic, with one patch of hematite that looks like a bush or tree, standing in front of the 'chatoyance' of an aurora borealis sky. There's some jasper in this one, adding nicely to the colorful display, in deepest navy blue, ochre and blood red. The cab has a high rounded dome of 6mm, a gracefully fluid designer shape, and a glassy polish both front and back.
