Deschutes jasper cab ~
Here we have a cab of Deschutes jasper, from Oregon. A long time favorite in the celebrated family of porcelain jaspers, this classic old material has become quite collectibly rare these days. This cabochon features a striking pattern in rich earthy tones in creamy tans and chocolate browns, even a touch of blue gray. There's also a few jet black dendrites scattered here and there, for extra added character. It has a very high rounded dome of 7mm, a gracefully fluid designer shape that enhances the jasper's pattern very nicely, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
