Flame agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of top shelf flame agate, from Mexico. This is the grand old stock material, none too easy to come by in this calibre. It features a superb pattern of flame-like plumes in a very appropriate shade of deep reddish hues. The background agate is nicely translucent in a somewhat more yellowish color than the photo illustrates. Along one edge is a dark green from which the flames seem to emanate, containing tiny bits of light lace. Gorgeous! The cab has a well rounded dome, a gracefully fluid shape, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
