Montana agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of top shelf Montana agate, cut from a nodule collected years ago along the banks of the Yellowstone River by my old friend Merlin. This features classic calico coloration, and although it's not so apparent in the photos, the inky black parts are actually shaped like winding ribbons on edge. The background is highly translucent, almost water clear, which adds a great degree of depth and visual appeal. It has a high rounded dome of 6mm, a designer 'paisley' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
