Covellite cab ~
Offered here is cabochon of covellite, a rare heavyweight metallic ore of copper from the Leonard mine near Butte, Montana. This super reflective stone features ultra deep, rich cobalt blue coloration, with a scattering of shiny metallic pyrite for extra added character. It also has a nice showing of the very desireable rosy-purple patches from certain angles. This one ought to make some knockout item of jewelry, no doubt, or a soon-to-be favorite in your collection of rarities. The cab has a very high rounded dome of 6mm, a powerful 'modified shield' designer shape, and a great gleaming polish both front and back.
