Pietersite cab ~
Offered here is a delightful cabochon of premium pietersite, from Africa. This one has fiery flashes of all three colors, in bright reddish orange, gold, and blue. There's even touches of green where the gold and blue mingle. The swirling pearly chatoyance is in patches, with one winking off while another lights up, so it's practically dancing with 'fire' as the stone is turned. In hand, I think the stone is a bit brighter and more orange; small, but mighty! The cab has a very high rounded dome, a smooth 'pillow' shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
