Orbicular jasper cab ~
Offered here we have an orbicular jasper cab, which is a new Madagascar find associated with the earlier ocean jasper deposits, called Kabamba. You can definitely see a family resemblance, but this material brings to mind a cross between nebula stone and ocean jasper. It features shades of olive green with nearly black rings and eyes. I've set cabs of this with small faceted peridots, and the finished pieces were gorgeous. The cab has a very high rounded dome, and a nice glossy polish both front and back.
