Apache jasper cab ~
Offered here is a scenic cabochon of Apache jasper, actually a rhyolite, also known as Mimbres Valley jasper since it's found there in New Mexico. This fabulous material just smacks of southwest flavor. And this fine example features the typical sagebrush figures on rolling hills, looking much like the deserts of the legendary old west, in shades of maroon and dusty pink. The stone has a high rounded dome, and a fine glossy polish both front and back.
