Montana agate cab ~
Offered here is a large, deluxe cabochon of Montana agate, cut from Yellowstone River agate found long ago. This particular piece was selected from an old stash of 5 gallon buckets full I lucked into, which I very much enjoyed rummaging through last summer. The agate is quite clear, containing swirly patches of inky black, dark brown, and glowing reddish-orange, with an excellent display of dendrites. It's a fabulous example of classic Montana agate, even more amazing when viewed through the light, as shown in the backlit photo. It has a low rounded dome of 4.5mm, a sweet designer shape, and a totally glassy polish both front and back.
