Australian tigereye cab ~
Here is a cabochon of variegated tigereye, from Africa. This stone features dark bronzy-gold coloration, with streaks of midnight blue, and classic rolling chatoyance. The blues look a bit greenish to me, in certain lighting, due to the illusion created where the colors mingle. The cab has a well rounded dome of about 5.5mm, a curvy designer 'pinwheel' shape, and a nice glassy polish both front and back.
