Here is an amazing cabochon of rare Australian tigereye. This startling material is delightfully chatoyant, with a bright rolling flash you just can't miss, even in these flat digital photos. It's a truly remarkable example, one you'll surely treasure, with the red-dominated rainbow colors only the top quality Marra Mamba tigereye possesses. Bands of dark silvery hematite and quartz set it off at one end, with burnt yellow jasper and hematite at the other. Magnificent, if I do say so myself! It has a designer 'crescent' shape, a generously high dome of 9mm, and an excellent glassy polish both front and back. Priced just under $5 a carat.
