Raspberry tube agate cab ~
Offered here is a designer cabochon of raspberry tube agate from Mexico. This superbly figured agate is mined at the Crown Of Silver psilomelane claims as an extra added bonus. The lovely raspberry and pinkish coloration is due to the infiltration of rhodonite, so the miner tells me. This large example has moss, tubes, intricate banding, and a hint of plumes in translucent agate. I must mention that there's a very slight degree of pitting present, with one or two micro spots on the front and one larger on the backside; none should pose any problem or distraction. The cab has a very high rounded dome, a curved 'talon' shape, and a glassy polish both front and back.
