Offered here is a designer cab of moss opalite, from Australia, also known as dendritic opalite. This unusual form of opal does not have fire, but it certainly does have a delightful display of dark spidery dendrites, lending the stone a nice organic feel. Several shades of yellow in their separate 'zones' add quite a lot to its appeal. The stone has a very high rounded dome, a crisply bold, powerful shape that's fun and easy to work with, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
