Trent agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Trent sagenite agate, hailing only from one small dig near Trent, Oregon. This distinctive material is very rare, completely mined out long ago, prized for its wonderfully colorful figure. This agate is said to contain stibnite and realgar, which are rare minerals in their own right. Sure cuts an interesting cab, I must say! This unique stone features strong carnelian orange color that's nicely translucent, containing intricate sagenitic bursts that are subtly fortified. Had to include a shot of the backside because it's beautiful too, but please click to enlarge all the pics to their full size for a good look. The stone has a very high rounded dome, a very curvy designer shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
Size: 35x19mm
