Luna agate cab ~
Offered here is a large cabochon of collectibly rare luna agate, from Mexico. This old stock material is no longer easy to come by like it was years ago, and this cab is certainly an intriguing example. There are a multitude of orbs within orbs present, and along one side is a band of highly translucent purplish agate that one old time rockhound claims is fluorite, in part, containing tiny sagenites. I don't know for certain if that's true, but it does have an almost opalescent quality to it, easily more beautiful than the photos show. The cab has a very high rounded dome, a gracefully sleek shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
