Amazonite cab ~
Offered here's a cabochon of amazonite, from Russia. This stone features vibrant turquoise blue-green coloration, and a substantial amount of silvery schiller at certain angles, in both broad flashes and tiny sparkles. Couldn't capture it though, except for a hint of speckles in the main photo. It's a very nice cab, but I do need to mention the presence of a teensy needle point sized pit in one of the small brownish areas. No big deal, all things considered. The stone's got a good degree of tranlucence to it, so I added the backlit photo to illustrate that for you. It has a well rounded dome, a designer 'crescent' shape, and a fine glossy polish both front and back.
