Bull Canyon agate cab ~
Offered here is a designer cabochon of beautiful Bull Canyon agate, from the Northern California/Nevada border area. This is an often thrilling agate that's seldom seen, and that's a shame because I love the stuff! This one features a busy pattern of green tube-like stringers with some fortification banding in milky bluish agate. The agate base is highly translucent, as you can see from the last photo, which has lovely warm hues. The stone is chock full of character, and I think you'll easily forgive the few natural micro pits present; they're hard to see and mostly on the backside. The stone has a very high rounded dome, a strong 'power' shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
