Sard cab ~
Offered here is a bold cabochon of carnelian sard, legendary for being 'a stone of courage' in Roman times. This agate treasure is a fabulous example, featuring awesome wavy bands of vivid orange alternating with white. There's also the merest hint of an eye present in the center. This collectibly gorgeous stone is totally natural, NOT dyed or otherwise enhanced like some that I've recently seen. It'll be grand in either silver or gold, no matter how simple or intricate the setting! The cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, and an elegant symmetrical pointed teardrop shape, polished to a brilliant, glassy perfection both front and back.
