Owyhee jasper cab ~
Here is a cabochon of Owyhee jasper, from Oregon. This famous member of the porcelain jasper family features a delightfully streaked pattern of tans, creamy yellows, burnt orange and pale slate blue-gray. One of my all time favorite jaspers, the best of this material is becoming harder to come by these days, and this example has a brilliant, glassy polish both front and back. The stone has a high rounded dome of 5.5mm, and a sweetly curved designer shape.
