Offered here is a cabochon of beautiful Botswana agate, from Africa. It features a warm golden caramel shade that contrasts well with the snow white chevron bands, reminding me of candy somehow. It certainly has a dramatic pattern, fitting the stone's shape very well. The fine, intricate bands produce that neat optical illusion of parallax, seeming to magically open and close with movement. It has a very high rounded dome, a smoothly symmetrical shape, and a glassy polish both front and back.
