Gem silica cab ~
Offered here is a sweet cabochon of 100% natural gem silica chrysocolla, from Arizona. This stone features patches and streaks of wonderfully intense turquoise blue in clear agate, with a few flecks of greenish malachite for added appeal. The whole stone has a great degree of translucence, as shown by the backlit photo. This highly silicated material is quite hard and durable so it wears very well, and will easily last long enough to become a future heirloom. The stone has a low rounded dome of 4mm, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
