Covellite cab ~
Offered here is cabochon of covellite, a rare heavyweight copper ore from the Leonard mine near Butte Montana. This stone features ultra deep, rich cobalt blue coloration, with a scattering of shiny metallic pyrite. Despite a degree of natural pitting, it ought to make some knockout item of jewelry, no doubt. The cab has a very high rounded dome, a strong shield shape, and a gleaming polish both front and back.
