Mt. Airy blue agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of self-collected Mt. Airy blue agate, also known as blue chalcedony, from Nevada. It features lovely translucentblue coloration with some wavy bandings of clear, as well as some interesting matrix down the side. The highly polished shape causes light to bounce around wonderfully in this stone, and at certain angles, it does appear to have a bit of adularescence. It's appearance is somewhat opalescent, and like a lot of blue agates, this stone is also moody, and seems deeper in color when viewed in low lighting. This cab has very high rounded dome, a sleek designer shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
