Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is a distinguished cabochon of Madagascar's ocean jasper that's actually a blend of agate, jasper, and quartz. This example features one single multi-ringed bullseye, seemingly afloat in a background of milky white crystal. Backlit, the orb is the only part that's not translucent. A close look at the photos reveals that the bullseye's outermost ring is composed of tiny pseudomorphs of smoky crystals, all radiating outward, adding much visual interest to the stone. The cab has a high, well-rounded dome of 8.5mm, a plump designer 'flame' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
