Inferno agate cab ~
Offered here is an extraordinary collector's cabochon of Mexican inferno agate, mined near the Laguna agate digs. This example has a lot going on in its busy flaming patterns, including an impressive showing of crimson, coral and red flame-like plumes, and dark burgundy to wine red mosses. I find the golden butterscotch areas particularly attractive, along with the gemmy translucence. The stone is well composed and rather fascinating, reminding me of a Japanese painting of, perhaps, the fiery birthplace of dragons. Absolutely awesome stuff! You'll be well pleased, no doubt. The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 7mm, and a designer drop shape, with a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
Size: 49x24mm
