Priday plume agate ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of collectibly rare Priday plume agate, from the old Priday Ranch digs in Oregon. Cut from some grand old stock which had been stashed away for decades in the cherished collection of an old gentleman rockhound, I was blessed to be allowed to purchase a bag full of slices from his living estate. This stone has an interesting display of smaller florette plumes and mosses suspended in a translucent agate background. The stone is much like a portrait of a flowering bush, and the plumes appear to grow from an earthen brown patch. Smoky black agate fortifications reveal themselves fully, adding character, illustrated by the backlit photo. This stone has a low rounded dome of 4mm, and a designer drop shape, polished to a glassy brilliance both front and back.
