Offered here is an extraordinary cabochon of Biggs jasper, from Oregon. A long time favorite in the celebrated family of porcelain jaspers, this classic material has become quite collectibly rare and spendy these days. This distinguished example has ribbons of rich chocolaty browns against creamy tans in a wonderfully scenic pattern, complete with jet black dendritic "foliage". There are also areas of the much sought after blue and lavender tones. It has a rounded dome of 5mm, a crisp designer shape, and it has a slick glassy polish both front and back.
