Linda Marie plume agate cab ~
Offered here is an intriguing cabochon of Linda Marie plume agate, from Oregon, near the Idaho border. This example has a delightful display of fluffy plumes in shades of white, green, and rich, earthy brown. The wild plumage stands out in sharp contrast, seemingly afloat, in a background of blue, a uniquely complimentary color combination. I particularly like the shadowed effect many of the plumes have, giving them an added dimension that's most attractive. The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, and a gracefully curved designer 'flame' shape that's polished front and back.
