Noreena jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of noreena jasper, which hails from the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The color and figure reminds me of mungina stone, which is rather soft, but this well silicated noreena jasper is a lot harder, with an even wilder pattern. The deep reddish orange frames 'windows' of mauve, and it's highlighted with flaming strokes of yellow. Fine black lines are actually sub-metallic, and have a little gleam when viewed at the right angle. I think this one'll be attractive in even the simplest of settings. Give it a try! This cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, a graceful designer drop shape, and it is polished both front and back.
Size: 43x28mm
Weight: approximately 38 carats
