Teepee Canyon agate cab ~
Offered here is a large cabochon of Teepee Canyon Agate, wrested from the hard rock near Custer, South Dakota. This example features several crimson-orange fortifications against a background of soft coral-pink and white. There are a few neat little orbs and a bullseye, too, afloat in sparkling crystalline pools contained within the bands. Those pools may look open, but the top surface is completely smooth; there are only two tiny openings on the back side. In most lighting, the sparkling crystal areas do appear to exhibit a pale amethystine tint. Beautifully unique, it'll make a treasured item of wearable art almost effortlessly! The cab has a high rounded dome of 6+mm, a crisp designer 'flame' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
Size: 57x24mm
Weight: approximately 52 carats
