Stick agate cab ~
Offered here is an impressive cabochon of stick agate, a relatively recent addition to the lapidary world, which hails from Turkey. This example boasts a fascinating pattern of sagenitic tubes, outlined in white, that resemble cut straws, contrasting nicely against a translucent background, tinted here and there the color of root beer. The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, a sweet designer drop shape, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
