Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is a deluxe cabochon of ocean jasper, from Madagascar. Sadly, I'm told there are no plans for any further harvesting at the original source, which is said to be totally depleted now; no doubt we all hope they'll never give up the search for more! This unique cab is of the agate variety I like best, with a decidedly festive pattern that includes an assortment of orbs and multi-colored bullseyes that seem to float in a translucent lime green background. Ghostly fortifications and swirls of tiny dots too, like a snowstorm. The backlit photo illustrates the stone's gemmy gel-like nature, which adds a fascinating dimension of depth. The cab has a well rounded dome of 6mm, a versatile designer shape, and despite a couple tiny natural voids, a super slick glassy polish both front and back.
