Teepee Canyon agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Teepee Canyon Agate, wrested from the hard rock near Custer, South Dakota. This example features several intricate fortifications against a background of soft coral-orange chiffon. There are a few neat little orbs and a bullseye, too, afloat in sparkling crystalline pools contained within the bands. Those pools may look open, but the top surfaces are completely smooth. In most lighting, the sparkling crystalline areas do appear to exhibit a very pale amethystine tint. Beautifully unique, it'll make a treasured item of wearable art almost effortlessly! The cab has a high rounded dome of 6.5mm, a crisp designer 'crescent' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
Size: 36x18mm
Weight: approximately 33 carats
