Offered here is a cabochon of African pietersite, cut by Christopher. This example has marvelously silky chatoyance in blends of deep midnight and golden yellow in a swirling pattern that dances with the light. Fancy flash! It has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, and a long designer 'crescent' shape that's polished front and back. Considering how the cost of fine pietersite has positively sky-rocketed in recent years, the per carat price for a stone of this size is truly a bargain!
