Owyhee jasper cab ~
Offered here is a fancy cabochon of Owyhee jasper, from Oregon. This famous member of the porcelain jasper family is becoming rather scarce these days, especially the most coveted variety with blood reds. This example features a wild jagged pattern in rich, earthy shades of ochre edged with red, contrasting boldly against a background of creamy pastel yellow. One of my all time favorite jaspers, this classic treasure will do you proud, no matter what your plans for it. The stone has a high dome of 7mm, a gracefully fluid designer shape, with a slick glassy polish both front and back.
