Offered here is cabochon of covellite, a rare heavyweight metallic ore of copper from the Leonard mine near Butte, Montana. This super reflective stone features ultra deep, rich cobalt blue coloration, with a scattering of shiny metallic pyrite for extra added character. There's a subtle but attractive moire pattern present throughout. This one ought to make some knockout item of jewelry, no doubt, or a soon-to-be favorite in your collection of rarities. This heavyweight cab has a very high rounded dome of 6mm, and an elegant designer drop shape. Despite a few of the typical tiny voids, it has a smooth gleaming polish both front and back.
