victoria stone cab ~
Offered here is a large cabochon of NEW victoria stone, cut by Christo. I say "new" because this is different from the old material created by Imori, which I have never cared for much. It's currently being produced by a Russian company, using a proprietary blend of natural minerals, in this one color only. It has pleasingly cool 'iced sky blue' shades, loaded with lighter ripples that are quite beautiful. Just as the old material did, this new victoria stone has a shimmering play, much like chatoyance, which changes with the light and angle of viewing, though these photos do little to illustrate that phenomenon. The cab has a rounded dome of 6.5mm, a versatile designer drop shape, and a fine polish both front and back.
