Agua Nueva agate cab ~
Offered here is a deluxe cabochon of Agua Neuva agate, from Mexico. I often find that I favor this material even more than its long prized and famous cousin, Laguna agate, found nearby. This colorfully busy example has large open bullseye tubes, enclosing pale greenish-gold tendrils of moss, as well as a scattering of tiny dots, which often characterize collectible Mexican agates. Those tubes are enclosed by ribbony bands of orange, purple, raspberry, and a several shades of pastel pink. The stone is very gemmy and translucent, so there is a fascinating dimension of depth. Gorgeous! The cab has a low rounded dome, a plump designer teardrop shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
Size: 47x33mm
Weight: approximately 57 carats
