Madagascar agate cab ~
Offered here is a fascinating cabochon of dendritic agate, from Madagascar. This stone has several outstanding fortifications, and within some of those bands can be seen a unique mottling, along with darker dendrites. The agate itself has a rather creamy pastel color casting of peach and slate to it that I find attractive, though it is subtle. Most of the stone is surprisingly translucent, as illustrated by the backlit photo. I think it'll make an extraordinary item of jewelry, or a fine addition to your aggie collection. The cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, a graceful designer 'flame' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
