Turquoise cab ~
Offered here is a large cabochon of top notch spiderweb turquoise, from the Hubei mine in China. This one has absolutely GORGEOUS spiderwebbing, and excellent contrast. The lovely sky blue coloration is accentuated by the intricate jet black webs. Nice change from blue to olive green at one end, fading to an almost russet hue. No doubt this material has been stabilized by some hardening process, as is most modern turquoise, but I don't believe it has been subjected to artificial coloring of any kind. It polished like a dream, and will wear wonderfully, without changing over the years. The cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, a versatile 'spearhead' shape, and a slick glossy polish both front and back.
