Rutilated quartz cab ~
Offered here is a large, fancy cabochon of rutilated quartz, from Brazil, some of the best I've ever had to work with. It features beautifully flashy angel-hair needles of bright golden rutile scattered like jackstraws. The water clear quartz really shows off, and even amplifies, this stone's rutile inclusions, with next to none of the typical 'fairy frost'. And you should see how dazzling the rutile looks in direct sunlight, just like threads of spun gold! It has a rounded dome of 5mm, a gracefully curved designer 'paisley' shape, and a slick, glassy all-over polish.
