Rose agate cab ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of rose agate, a gemmy chalcedony which hails from Mozambique, Africa. Obviously well named for its beautiful coloration, this jelly-like example has some visible banding in strongly saturated hues of rose-pinks along with some pastel purplish-grays. I particularly like the white puffy tube-like inclusions that show up in these agates every now and then, and this example sports a few of them, complete with ghostly fortifications. The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, a gracefully curved designer 'teardrop' shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
