Medicine Bow dendritic agate ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Medicine Bow dendritic agate, from Wyoming. This classic material is sought after for its lovely flowering plumes, and this one is a nice example. With a contrasting background of bright white, this stone has a few small tube formations, translucent pools with lacy fortifications and an intriguing showing of jet black dendritic plumes. I've seen these set in both gold and silver with great results, but I think the contrast of a silver mounting would look best. Of course, that's entirely up to you! The cab has a well rounded dome of 5.5mm, an elegant designer drop shape, and a glassy polish both front and back.
