Variscite cab ~
Offered here is a large & extra special cabochon of variscite, from Utah's Little Green Monster mine in Clay Canyon. This RARE old stock material has always been prized by collectors, and most anyone who sees it LOVES it instantly. This remarkable example features cool minty green 'globes' of various sizes, each of which is edged in gray and partially translucent root beer brown, giving this stone its very distinctive webbed pattern. The pattern is astonishingly intricate, and includes some tiny bullseyes and orbs. I think the rich green color of this variscite is something a computer monitor cannot do proper justice to, really, but the pics give you the idea; it's one fabulous stone! It'd be an excellent addition to any collection, or it could inspire you to create the perfect setting to transform it into wearable art. The stone has a high rounded dome of 6+mm, and a fat designer teardrop shape, polished both front and back.
