Priday plume agate cab ~
Offered here is a large and unusual cabochon of collectibly rare Priday plume agate, from the Priday Ranch digs in Oregon. This intriguing stone was cut from some grand old stock which had been stashed away for decades in the cherished collection of an old gentleman rockhound, and I was extremely fortunate to have been able to purchase a bag full of slices and whole eggs from his living estate. Oh for joy!!! This stone shows a variety of patterns, including brick red plumes and moss, and candy stripes (water-level bands) of common opal in pastel pink, reddish brown, white and gray. There are a few pinpoint natural voids present, but nonetheless, it's a unique beauty anyone would be proud to own! The cab has a rounded dome of 5mm, a bold designer 'spearhead' shape, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
Size: 52x25mm
Weight: approximately 48 carats
