Offered here is a cabochon of cherry creek jasper, which hails from China. This example features bright crimson spots on a background of olive green, golden mango, and muted slate blue. It also has a wild pattern of jet black webbing and streaks. This material certainly cuts artistic cabs, very striking in many ways, and I think this one will make an outstanding item of jewelry almost effortlessly. The stone has a well rounded dome of 6mm, a designer 'teardrop' shape, and a slick glossy polish both front and back.
