Woodward Ranch plume agate cab ~
Offered here is a gorgeous cabochon of Woodward Ranch moss/plume, from Texas. This distinctive old stock material is a longtime favorite for its wonderful translucence and colorful figure. Sure cuts an fascinating cab, I must say. This one has golden moss and a few black-centered plumes down one side, edged with red and clear agate, in the most desireable crimson red carnelian colors. At the other side there's a beautiful crushed ice crystalline core, complete with sparkles. The background is a gemmy reddish gel, very translucent, as shown in the backlit photo. There are some miniscule pits at one edge, which should be concealed by most any setting. The stone has a low rounded dome, and a symmetrical designer 'almond' shape that's polished both front and back.
